  • Before coming in for your appointment, we ask that you CHECK IN ONLINE for EACH child through the patient portal to help get everyone in and out of the office, quickly.
  • You can also take advantage of our ONLINE SCHEDULING, through our patient portal.  Here’s how:
    • Log into your family portal.
    • Select any child (if you have more than one) and click on APPOINTMENTS.
    • Click on FIND APPOINTMENTS
    • Make sure Speciality is set to "Pediatric Medicine"
    • Set Reason for Visit to "Flu Shot Visit" for a flu shot or "Injection/Vaccination" for the Flumist.
    • You can pick any slot available in green. We are scheduling families every 20 min.
    • If you don't see a slot available and Provider is not set to "Redbird Clinical Visit," click on Discover other providers from IL - Redbird Pediatrics under Can't find what you're looking for?
    • Click Schedule Appointment
    • If  you have more than one child, send us a message through the portal or call the office and let us know the date and time of your current appointment and which siblings you would like to add, and we will get them all registered at the same time. (You will not be able to double book an appointment online.)
    • If you have more than two children to schedule at a time, we may ask you to reschedule the initial slot depending on the number of vaccinations already scheduled that day
  • You can also call us during normal business hours to schedule an appointment.

COVID VACCINATION 2025-2026

We will be offering COVID vaccines to all patient 6 months of age and older as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). This includes the following groups:

  • Infants and children 6 through 23 months of age who do not have contraindications to the vaccine
  • Children 2 through 18 years of age who are moderately or severely immunocompromised
  • Children 2 through 18 years of age in the following risk groups

  1. Persons at high risk of severe COVID-19
  2. Residents of long-term care facilities or other congregate settings
  3. Persons who have never been vaccinated against COVID-19
  4. Persons whose household contacts are at high risk for severe COVID-19

  • Children 2 through 18 years of age not included in the risk groups above whose parent or guardian desires their protection from COVID-19

Children 5 years of age and older will receive Pfizer’s COVID vaccine. Children 6 months to 4 years old with receive Moderna’s Spikevax (as Pfizer’s product was not approved in this age group). However, due to changes in governmental recommendations, we cannot insure that all vaccines will be covered by your insurance company. If it is not covered, you will be responsible for the cost of the vaccine. Before scheduling, we encourage you to call your insurance company and see if they will be covering the COVID vaccine for your children in 2025.  If it will not be covered, you have the option of paying out of pocket at our office, or you can schedule an appointment to get it at the health department, in which case the vaccine is covered by the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program as you would be considered “Under-insured” for the vaccine.

COVID Vaccines will have to be scheduled by calling the office. If you would like to see about scheduling a COVID vaccine at the same time as a flu shot you signed up for online, you will need to message or call the office to add it to the scheduled visit.
